Holy Innocents
The annual Holy Innocents Prayer Service will be held outside the Planned Parenthood facility at 671 Vandalia Street, Saint Paul, MN 55114, on this Saturday, December 28th, at noon.
The Gospel for the Feast of the Holy Innocents:
When the magi had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him." Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, Out of Egypt I called my son. When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi. Then was fulfilled what had been said through Jeremiah the prophet:
A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.
As we remember this event, we find it fitting to gather and pray where other innocent children are in similar danger. Please join us if you can.

Schedule Change
Due to other events at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord, the Traveling Rosary cannot be held there this weekend as originally scheduled. The Rosary for this Sunday, December 15th, will be held at Saint Columba instead. Therefore, the schedule for the remainder of 2013 is as follows:
December 15 – Saint Columba, 1327 Lafond Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104
December 22 – Saint Agnes, 548 Lafond Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55103
December 29 - St. Peter Claver Convent, 265 Century Avenue S, Saint Paul, MN 55125
The Rosary will be held at 2:00 p.m. on each of these scheduled dates.
